The driver who killed Nicki Minajfather, Robert Marajat the time of the crash, he had just been sentenced to prison.
Charles Polevičius was sentenced Wednesday to 1 year in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of leaving the scene without reporting and tampering with physical evidence. In addition, his driver’s license will be suspended for 6 months and he will pay a fine of $5,000.
Polevicis faces up to 7 years behind bars, but the judge Howard Sturim fulfilled the obligation to sentence him to a prison sentence of no longer than one year.
TMZ broke the story… Nicki’s dad is dead at the age of 64 after 2021 had an accident while walking on Long Island in February.
At the time, police said the driver fled the scene and tried to hide the car in his detached garage. Robert was taken to hospital in critical condition and died from his injuries.
Nicki finally opened up about the tragedy on her website, saying… “I can say it was the biggest loss of my life.”
