Six years after its announcement, Past Good & Evil 2 is hiring a head author

A few years have passed since then Beyond good and evil 2 was officially announced. After a long absence of news, a new development for the long-awaited game has finally arrived: they have hired their main writer.

A in a tweet yesterday, Sarah Arellano announced that she is joining as the game’s lead writer. Arellano previously worked as Blizzard’s narrative designer on World of Warcraft and Volition, the studio responsible for Saints Row.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was officially announced in 2017 E3. The game will be a prequel to the original game with promises of success explore alone or with friends in a huge and ambitious world.

Aside from that announcement, there hasn’t been much meaningful news since then. We have took a look at the excellent concept art and another look at the game at E3 2018. The last time we saw the game, we got a glimpse of it Jade from the first game looks like a villain.

Ubisoft originally planned for the beta version of the game to be available in 2019. at the endbut it never worked. Beyond Good & Evil 2 also lost its director in 2020leaving the state of the game even more in sight.

Since, the game was mentioned in UbiSoft’s earnings reportsconfirms that it is still in some capacity. Then at the beginning of this year a report surfaced stating that the game was still in development. However, the news of a lead writer for the game is a good step forward.

The first Beyond Good & Evil received a 9/10 in our review. We said she “tells her story with amazing pizzazz and sparkle. Better yet, it’s a story worth telling.”
