The man accused Pop superstar Lady Gaga’s dog walker has been shot dead was arrested by law enforcement officers in Palmdale.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of James Howard Jackson on Wednesday evening.

The Sheriff’s Department, along with the United States Marshal’s Service, executed an arrest warrant for Jackson at an undisclosed location on Apricot Drive in Palmdale. The date of his arrest is not yet known.

Jackson was allegedly taken into custody after shooting Lady Gaga’s dog walker in 2021 February. stole her two French bulldogs. After a thorough search, he was arrested and charged with attempted murder, but mistakenly released from custody in April due to what officials called a “clerical error.”

Jackson allegedly shot dog handler Ryan Fischer with a .40 caliber handgun while he was walking the singer’s three dogs in Hollywood. Two of the dogs were stolen and the third escaped, investigators said. Fischer eventually recovered from his wounds.

A few others were arrested involving a shooting and dog abduction, but Jackson is believed to have been the attacker.

The dogs were later returned to the pop star.
