A screaming lady in a truck on a New Jersey freeway has been discovered protected

A bloody woman who was seen calling for help Police, who are now investigating the incident, found the big rig safe in a cab on the New Jersey Turnpike on Wednesday.

South Brunswick police announced Thursday night that they found the woman and the truck driver in Woodbridge, and said the two knew each other.

A witness spotted a woman who appeared to be bleeding from the face and calling for help from a white tractor-trailer parked on the side of Route 130 a day earlier. She tried to jump out of the cab, but the driver pulled her back and drove away on the 130th road.

The alarming report prompted a massive, multi-agency search by South Brunswick PD and federal and state law enforcement.

Police said the incident was not a kidnapping by a stranger, as many initially speculated. NBC4 reported. The couple were acquaintances and were found together. Both were brought to the police for questioning.

The woman returned home safely, but was injured – the extent, the shopping center reports, is unknown.
